The process length from the time you have signed the final "Terms and Condi=
tion of Licensing" with the Private Career Colleges Branch to the time your=
 students will be eligible to apply online for assistance is 3-4 weeks. Ple=
ase be aware of this time frame in the event you are starting programs shor=
tly after becoming licensed.

The process:

1.       Indicate to me if you are delivering your programs full-time or le=
ss than 20 hours a week.

2.       Once licensed, the Private Career Colleges Branch will send inform=
ation about your programs to our area.

3.       We will review to ensure they meet the designation criteria (crite=
ria is listed on our website).

4.       Meet with us in-person for a 1.5 hour information session and to s=
ign two copies of the Alberta Institutional Designation Agreement (AIDA).  =
This is the legal document that pertains to your responsibilities related t=
o student financial assistance. Please review this as you will be signing t=
his contract after you are licensed.

5.       Note: this is separate meeting that will occur after you meet with=
 the Private Vocational Training Branch to sign the "Terms and Conditions o=
f Licensing".
